Effective management is always key to success especially when dealing with human resources (employees). In many cases, people who quit their job, do not quit their job, they quit their manager (boss, supervisor). When managers are well trained choosing and organizing all available resources appropriately, it promotes proficiency, efficiency, and productivity, and thus attracts and retains dedicated and committed employees, as long as there is firmness, fairness, and consistency. One major contributor in attracting and retaining nurses is effective communication and treatment, where nurses feel they are a part of a team approach to health care and feel they are a part of the decision making process. It's all a part of good management.
