The internet is a great place to begin research. You can use the different browsers to narrow the sites to search for a particular subject.

However, most high school teachers and college professors require that you use documented, verified and peer reviewed papers and books to use in your research papers.

Using these verified documents holds true even if you are not doing research for school and just for yourself. The reason? Many websites offer a lot of information on various subjects but do not provide documented or verified information to back up what they say about a particular subject. Many times you come across a professional looking site but find out that everything on it is misinformation.

That being said there are many legitimate education sites that have bibliographies included in their information and are accepted by teachers and professors. always check with your teacher or professor before using any site.
