Should you insulate your pool filter to keep it from freezing?

It could avoid damage if you live in an area where you have periodic freezes such Northeast Florida. Otherwise when a hard freeze is going to occur just run your system, cover the filter and piping, drain the solar panels and you may want to put a light under the tarp for heat(Use caution and common sense with the light)
