How did Barack Obama still get elected even though no one found a birth certificate?

A birth certificate was produced by the state of Hawaii that the Republican Governor of Hawaii has endorsed as valid, and it has been made available online. President Obama is a "natural born" US Citizen, as is required by the Constitution to serve as President. He is legally a citizen and is legally holding the office of the President of the United States as is also evidenced by having been sworn in to office by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Roberts, a Republican appointed judge.
