How do you use vintage vw Jack?

1. Insert the lift pin (some call it the tongue) into the chassis lift point just ahead of the rear wheel.
2. Insert the tire iron/jack handle into the top socket.
3. Lever the handle up and down to lift the car.
4. To let the car down, move the tire iron/jack handle to the lower socket and lever the car down.

Both wheels on the same side will come off the ground. The jack is designed to lift the car only far enough to change the tire. 'Break' the lug bolts before jacking the car up because the force needed to break the lug bolts can knock the car off the jack. If you need to get under the car, always install jack stands...never trust the jack alone.

Always ensure that you have chocked the wheels on the side opposite the jack because with the rear wheel off the ground, the car can roll and fall off the jack.
