You are Canadian and want to go to Vegas via land to bellingham and fly out of bellingham Do you need a passport?

When traveling by land/sea into and out of the U.S. you are not required to have a passport until June 1, 2009. If you wanted to fly then you would need a passport. But for now all you would need to cross the border by land is some type of identification card and a birth certificate.
