Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistake?

This is a very famous quote quite obviously of Mahatma Gandhi. The answer to this question is still debated at length although people should be aware that the discussion has been around for a lot longer. The short version answer to this question remains a cop-out - there is no answer. Depending on your point of view everyone views the answer differently some would agree and are not necessarily incorrect others would disagree and have some interesting counter-arguments. If you want to research it more take a look first at Rousseau then Mill and then perhaps Berlin. You make also want to throw Green into the mix as well for good measure!
