If you have to ask yourself if the man who has asked you to marry him is genuine or not then you are not ready to commit and you may feel uneasy about the situation. If you have several dislikes about this person or perhaps suspect he may cheat on you or is a controlling person then listen to yourself and hold off getting married or, break the engagement. Ask yourself if your family and friends like him and if not then that is another red flag. If this man is good to you and you love him and he's treated you right then most likely he is a good person. It is important to realize that anyone who gets married runs a risk that marriage may not work out. Nothing in life comes with a guarantee.
