What does it mean when a man ignores you after he seen you for the first time in a long time?

it usually means that he is nervous and anxious. he's probably not ignoring you, he just doesn't quite know what to say or how to act around you. i am in the military and when i come home from long deployments my wife tends to think i am ignoring her or that I'm upset all the time. really i am just at a loss for Words most of the time. for about the first month after returning home i usually have no idea how to act around her or react to anything she says or does. it takes some getting used to.
