What a unusual taste and red bumps on the back of your tongue can be?

Hmm, first thing that comes to my mind is a symptom of oral thrush, which can result after being on antibiotics for a given amount of time. Can you see any white patches? A more detailed description would help. Not to scare you, but that could be anything from the start of Strep throat to an orally-contracted STD :/
