What gives us the desire to serve God?

Every person is different, so each individual answer is different. One common reason is because God gave us life and looks over us in both good and bad times. God is the most forgiving and loving and leads us down the path to light and goodness, so naturally many want to serve the Almighty for all that He has done and still is doing.
