The most efficient way to tell if someone is snorting pain pills is to check their pupils. If they are pin point (less than 2mm in diameter), or basically really small then they are most likely taking opiates in some form. There are other medical reasons for pupil constriction, but they are rare. Opiates are one of the few things that cause pupil's to constrict (the opposite of dilating) so its a pretty strong indicator and also very reliable indicator of opiate use. If you really want to know have the person enter a dark room and turn on the lights or cover their eye for 30 seconds and then uncover it. If the pupil is still small and does not start out larger and become smaller by a significant amount, that is an easy test to see if they are or have recently used opiates. Hope this helps
