How do you change oil 2001 Subaru Outback?

Changing the oil on a Subaru is like changing the oil in any vehicle first you can find the new filter size and oil you need either in the owners manual if you have lost the owners manual you can find it either at an autoparts store or at any Walmart supercenter that sells fuel filters they have a computer that you will put you year make and model in and it will tell you which filter will work and on the oil I recomend 10w30 but it depends on what your car takes and it can be found in a book. then remove the drain plug on the bottom of your oil pan and just try and error on size as each year can possibly change . replace plug when all oil is out and filter is changed, then replace oil. DONOT overfill
