What was Lincoln's profession?

As a farmers son he worked on the farm and even was hired at the neighbors farm splitting rails for fences. He worked at the general store in New Salem, Illinois. He was a captin in the Black Hawk War, spent eight years in the Illionis legislature, and rode the circuit of courts as a lawyer and sometimes a judge.
