What is a leprechaun's head wear called?

Well from what i have learned is that a leprechaun usually wears a top hat with a shamrock on it. They also wear little green vests and some trousers with stockings as socks and little tiny shoes! Some people think that if you follow a rainbow and you go to the end of it there is a leprechaun playing in the gold. But you better watch out because leprechauns are very tricky they will say something that will make you want to look away but don't because if you do than he will hop out of your hand and run away and you will never find another leprechaun!
