How do you change your name while waiting for divorce?

To change your name involves a few steps. You need to start with your driver license and change it with the DMV. They will send you a new license. Next you take that to social security and change it on your social security account. Once that is done you can open a bank account in that name or change an existing account to your new name. Then, change your other accounts like charge cards, car insurance, rental agreement, car payment ( you may have to get your ex to sign the pink slip) and make sure you change it at work with the business office so your paychecks come in your new name. There are others that I may have left out that you need to inform of your change, but those are the major ones.
