What should you do if your girlfriend wants time apart indefinitely and you know you both love each other very much and you don't want to lose her?

Lots of couples feel they need time apart. As you know there is always a risk in this. Most mature young women (or young men) don't want to split to just play the field and date others, but they truly want to get to know what they are about, what they want out of life, etc. What she is really saying is she thinks you at least, should start dating again. Once she leaves the relationship you are free to do as you wish. Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder and hopefully this will be the case for you. Agree with her, but tell her you want to make it plain that you will be dating again. This may not ruffle her feathers at the time, but further on down the road it could. As hard as it is on you let her go. Then start seeing good friends and try to have a little fun. Expand your horizons and start dating again.
