Disadvantages of plummer block bearings

Your question is not specific. Are you referring to plummer-blocks or just the bearings used?
I do not know of any disadvantages bearings would pose.
Plummer-blocks are used to help the bearings rotate. Its a mechanical component. You could only compare it with a similar product providing same function as to which is better.
But independently the plummer-blocks do not have any disadvantages.
