Who was the first female EMT?

Jackie Salzer was the first female EMT & Ambulance Driver in Northern California if not the entire state & worked out of San Mateo County. I worked with her at Silva's Ambulance in the early 70's. Jackie was very knowledgeable and strong, and would rarely allow any one else to carry the gurney. Back in those days, we had to go up and down many stairs with our patients. Working today is quite different than back in the early 70's. We were at the forefront of Emergency Medicine and It was a great experience for all of us and Jackie was very dedicated & did an Excellent job.
