What is the theme to the story Only Daughter?

Its that you can achieve even the most impossible tasks with time, effort and determination. Like the Chinese fable they refer to "Old Man Yu Moves a Mountain" p45. Grace follows this theme by finding her birth-mother in China when she went there with no information but a name, Chun-mei.
