What is biological imperialism?

Real definition:

the transfer of biomass from a country of origin to that countries colony to make the new land look more like the homeland. This was most common with the European Empires, and mostly occurred because these empires believed that their species of plants and animals were superior.

ex. Great Britain brought over many of the song birds that Shakespeare mentions in his plays, to America. This is because they feel that the land has been deprived of the beauty that Shakespeare described, and that all lands need it.
