Does reading the chronicals of Narnia increase a child's imagination?

I would say that any story can spark a child's imagination. Fantasy worlds help the child realize that they are not limited by the world as they know it. That gives them the idea that they can imagine new and exciting things that don't yet exist. Inventions can't be created without having an imagination.
