Why is the bond between mother and daughter so strong?

The bond between mother and daughter could be very strong for many reasons. Firstly, they could experience many of the same things and could feel the same feelings. For example, both mother and daughter could have boy troubles or have love problems. They also go through similar things health wise, such as pregnancy and periods.
