Best way to get Super Bowl tickets?

There are a few ways to get Super Bowl Tickets.

1. If you are a season ticket holder for your local NFL football team, and that team wins the Conference Championship Game, a small portion of season ticket holders get the chance to purchase tickets to the game at face value. The odds of winning the season ticket holder lottery is very small in my experience. I have had Patriots tickets for a long time. During this period, the Patriots have qualified for five Super Bowls. I was lucky to win the lottery once.
2. You can purchase the tickets from a Super Bowl travel agency. Be sure to verify that game tickets are included in the package prior to purchasing the package.
3. You can purchase tickets from a second hand ticket broker, such as ebay, stub hub and other assorted ticketing agencies. Expect to pay 2 to 4 times face value of a ticket. Super Bowl tickets start at $500 per ticket.
4. You can enter the NFL Super Bowl Ticket Lottery. The official rules for the lottery are (the following passage is directly quoted from the NFL's website to ensure accurate information:

   "Entries for the random drawing are accepted between Feb. 1 and June 1 of the year preceding the game in question. All ticket requests must be sent via certified or registered mail. Those selected in the random drawing will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets.

   Requests for Super Bowl XLIV, to be played Feb. 7, 2010 in South Florida, will be accepted beginning Feb. 1, 2009. They should be sent to:

   P.O. Box 49140
   Strongsville, OH 44149-0140

   Please note that only one request per address is accepted. All duplicate requests will be disregarded."

5. Never purchase tickets from street scalpers. The chances that the tickets are genuine are minimal at best.
