What is wolfsheim famous for doing?

Wolfsheim was famous for fixing the 1919 World Series. He bribed members of the Chicago White Sox to intentionally lose games in exchange for money, which became known as the "Black Sox Scandal." This scandal led to eight players being banned from professional Baseball for life.
