What is it call when a soccer player hurts the other one?

There is no name for when they get hurt but there is a name for the action where they get hurt.Tackling is when they topple each other for the reach of the foot to the ball.I am not really a soccer expert but I was in the Flying Eagles,Electric Limes,and a lot more teams too.Post on my wall so we can chat sometime!
