Is it legal to have a pet llama in the US?

I do not believe that Llamas are an endangered species, however, if you cannot find a breeder here, you may need a license to import one into the country.

However - Llamas are considered livestock, not 'pets,' and whether, and where, you may keep one may be subject to zoning and humane laws.
