Why would you have polyuria after head injury?

Polyuria after a head injury may occur due to damage to the hypothalamus or pituitary gland, which can disrupt the regulation of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) secretion. This condition, known as Diabetes insipidus, leads to reduced ADH levels, resulting in increased urine production.
