What is a watering hole?

A place in the desert, wherein animals from far and wide come migrate to drink. As water is virtually non-existent in most places in the desert it is unsuprising that there are usually an abundance of wildlife thriving around a waterhole. It is not unusual however for watering holes to change positions. As one dries up another one a few miles away will form.
