Are human babies born blind

Human babies are not born completely blind, but their vision is very limited at birth. Newborns can see only about 8 to 12 inches away, which is the distance to their caregiver's face when being held. Their eyesight gradually improves over the first few months, and by around six months, they can see more clearly and at greater distances.
