A lot of people say that it means "All Day I dream about sports" but its actually the inventors name. ADolf DASler. I just don't know where the "I" comes from. And his brother Rudolph Dassler was the one who invented Puma. Pretty wealthy family huh.

I believe that Adolf's nickname was "Adi" and that is where the I comes from. I understand getting Adidas from Adolf's name but Puma from Rudolph??
