One day at a time.
An exercise that helped me immensely:
Take a piece of paper, or type it ... with the Words: I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY
Make several copies, in fact.
Place these on each mirror in your home.
Everyday, as many times as you look in the mirror, say those Words (preferably out loud) to yourself, while looking into your own eyes.
Believe it.
And add these wonderful mantra's to your mind talk (the things you say to yourself when you're thinking):
I deserve to be happy.
God [the Universe] doesn't make mistakes.
I am intelligent, strong and great exactly as I am.
If someone doesn't like me, it is their loss.
I am a great friend!
I am a great person.
I was younger yesterday, I did the best I knew how!
