Porrima, also known as Gamma Virginis, is a binary star system located in the constellation Virgo. The primary component of Porrima has an effective temperature of approximately 7,500 Kelvin, while the secondary star is cooler, around 6,500 Kelvin. This temperature difference contributes to the distinct spectral characteristics of the two stars in the system.
