What ingredients make Mexican food hot?

Usually powdered red pepper/chili, vinegar/water, and salt.

Look at the back of a bottle of Tabasco.

Very simple ingredients.

(Make sure the pepper/spice is very finely ground, unless you like it chunky... :)
