In TX there is a 40 hour mandatory prelicense requirement for both P&C and All Lines Adjuster by the Texas Department of Insurance. Once you complete the 40 hour course and pass the state exam, you can become a licensed adjuster in TX.

The 40 hour pre-licensing course is also offered online through learninsurance.com. Upon completion of the online final exam of their course, you can immediately apply for your Adjuster Property & Casualty License as the actual Adjuster Exam is included in the course too. It is both convenient and less expensive to do the pre-licensing course online!
