What did egyptians wear in 3000 BC?

Men of all social classes wore a wrap-round skirt called a kilt which was tied at the waist using a belt. In this period called the old kingdom it was worn short.

Egyptian women wore tubular dresses with shoulder straps. This remained the basic type of garment worn by ordinary women for thousands of years.

Children of all social classes, the poorest peasants and slaves went about naked.
