Death by cerebral hemorrhage may or may not be painful. If it is massive, you will probably loose consciousness before you are aware of the pain. If it is more of a conventional bleed into the brain, it may initially (briefly) be very painful. Franklin Delano Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage, while he was sitting for a portrait. His last Words were: "I have a terrific headache". He then slumped forward and lost consciousness (no pain past that point). He died a few hours later, never regaining consciousness.
