Back in the 1960s an American Joe Kissinger, jumped from a helium balloon at 100000 feet. There is presently a Red Bull sponsored attempt to push this to around 120000 feet. The skydiver is Felix Buamgartner and he has already done a warm up jump from around 85000ft. There is no atmosphere as such at this altitude and a spacesuit is necessary, so yes you can, with the right equipment, backing and preparation jump from the edge of space. It is already a fait accompli.
