After reinstalling distributor engine is not starting and back firing in throttle body?

dist timing off. Disconect power to distribtor wire, remove no1 plug put finger in plug hole when u feel tha air pushing against it . Bring timing mark to 0o TDC, rotor should b pointing to number 1 plug wire on cap.
