Did all dogs come from wolves?

Dogs did come from wolves, yes, as they are genetically 99% wolf. Some believe that dogs are wolves, however this isn't exactly true since dogs are only 99% wolf, not 100%. Despite the fact that they are a subspecies of the wolf (having the species name Canis lupus familiaris), they cannot definitely be called wolves because they lack the characteristics that make a true wolf a wolf.
