Do they still make giant tinkertoys?

they don't make giant tinker toys but however you can buy them on eBay or Craigslist.

Your best bet may be to look at other companies that carry similar products. I know of a company called fingo fun that offers giant tinker toy sets and kits. Check 'em out http://www.fingofun.com
