What is the working principle of monitors?

Monitors operate primarily using either liquid crystal display (LCD) or light-emitting diode (LED) technology. In LCD monitors, a backlight illuminates liquid crystals, which manipulate light to produce images by varying transparency and color. LED monitors use similar principles but with LEDs as the light source, enhancing brightness and color contrast. Both types convert electrical signals from the computer into visual output by activating pixels on the screen to display images and video.
