Another myth is that the sun is a solid mass; however, it is actually a massive ball of hot plasma. Additionally, many think that sunburn can only occur on sunny days, but it can also happen on cloudy days due to UV radiation penetrating through clouds. Lastly, some people believe that the sun is stationary, when it actually orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
