What are some common instruments used during a cholecystectomy?

1)#4 knife handle with a # 10 blade,

2) hemostats;Kellys,Criles,

3) a Bovie pencil (electrocautery),

4) Kelly retractors,both small and medium sized, going to a Balfour retractor,

5) Carmalt clamps (heavy duty clamps) and Schmidt clamps for silk ties,

6) Curved dissecting scissors and straight suture scissors, 7) needle holders of different lengths and structure. These are just the basics and I've probably missed some since I havn't scrubbed a' Lap-Chole' in twenty years or so. I am giving you the instrumentation for a Laparotomy, the instruments for a fibre-optic procedure would be different.
