Why do you look awful in photos?

Most people think they look awful in photos. A photograph shows exactly what you look like, while a mirror shows a reverse image under different lighting conditions. You get used to seeing yourself in the mirror, and when you see exactly what you look like, it looks weird. Also, most people aren't professional photographers, so they don't know what lighting conditions to use to make you look your best, or how to pose you. A professional photographer will take a more flattering photo of you.
