How the One Child Policy has changed since 1990?

For some people, they have had smaller families, and they know less about what it is like to have a sibling, aunts and uncles, and cousins. There could be some families that wanted a son to carry on the family name, but only had a daughter, and some families that may have wanted a daughter but had a son.

For families outside China, perhaps some appreciate more their freedom to have a larger family.
