How do you adjust the clutch on a 1995 Kawasaki Bayou?

on the right side of engine theres a black cover two screws take off theres a nut with flat tip screw driver on the inside loosen locknut turn clockwise to you feel resistance then turn counter clockwise until u feel resistance hold screwdriver still tighten lock nut ur done hope this helps it fixed my slipping clutch on my 95 220
