Holcomb as the fifty-second Governor of Connecticut, serving between January 5, 1921 and January 3, 1923. Following the end of Lake's term as Governor, Charles A. Templeton (born March 3, 1871 in Sharon, Connecticut; died August 15, 1955 in Waterbury, Connecticut) became the fifty-third Governor of Connecticut, serving between January 3, 1923 and January 7, 1925.
