What types of planes were used in battle of el alamein?

The Germans used many Stukas, Me 109's, Junker 88 bombers and a few Dornier 215 bombers. The Allies used Hurricanes, Tomahawks (P-40), a few Spitfires, Beaufighters, Beaufort bombers and a host of twin engine American bombers, Boston, Havoc, (both versions of Douglas A-7) Mitchell, (B-25) Marauder (B-26), Baltimore and Maryland . -All the aircraft had problems with sand getting in the engines and the American radial engines seemed to cope with it best.
