Jack up car, remove wheel, hand brake should be in the off position. The brake reservoir cap should be removed to monitor level of fluid when you are returning the caliper piston to allow for new pads.Remove the retaining bolts on the caliper. The caliper can now be removed and as you are changing the drum/disc you can lever of this to assist in the caliper removal. You can remove the cheese headed screw on the drum/disc by using a phillips screwdriver and while trying to turn it hit the handle end with a heavy hammer(use an old driver)this trick always works.Remove disc/drum.You can now change the handbrake shoes if required.Renew disc/drum replace cheese headed screw.Renew pads this will require brake piston returned to zero position which you can do with a piston return tool or by pushing with constant pressure until unit returns.Monitor brake fluid level during this process as you may have to remove some.Refit new pads, refit caliper tighten bolts to required torque, refit wheel, check brake level and replace cap
